Why Mkawa Twin Booster Pump Is a Smart Choice for Modern Buildings in India
Water treatment plants frequently require stable water pressure between storage tanks, filtration units, reverse osmosis systems and distribution points.
A booster pump may be used for treated-water distribution, feed-water transfer or other duties when the selected model is compatible with the service.
For RO and DM water installations, pump selection requires particular care.
The required pressure, flow, conductivity or water-quality requirements, wetted materials and seal compatibility must be assessed before selecting the pump.
A pump intended for treated-water transfer is not automatically suitable for high-pressure RO membrane feeding. RO feed pumps must be selected against the membrane system's required operating pressure and flow.
For applications involving demineralised or other specially treated water, the engineer should also verify the suitability of the pump's materials for the water chemistry.
Enviro – Engineered Water Treatment Solutions provides water treatment solutions for data centres, industries and critical infrastructure across India. Crystal Green India can help customers assess their water treatment and booster pumping requirements.
Mkawa offers different booster pump configurations for different flow and pressure requirements. The appropriate model should be confirmed using the manufacturer's current performance curves and technical documentation.
The following information is useful when requesting a selection:
Building details
• Number of floors and total building height.
• Number of apartments, rooms or users.
• Number and type of water outlets.
• Expected simultaneous water demand.
Hydraulic requirements
• Required flow in litres per minute or cubic metres per hour.
• Required discharge pressure in bar.
• Total dynamic head in metres.
• Pipeline diameter and approximate length.
• Pressure losses through filters, softeners and other equipment.
Operating requirements
• Sump-to-overhead-tank transfer or direct pressurised distribution.
• Required duty/standby operation.
• VFD control requirements.
• Available electrical supply.
• Water quality and operating temperature.
Once these details are known, the pump can be evaluated against the required duty point, motor rating, efficiency, operating limits and installation conditions.
